Independence!

Noah's first fourth of July was so much fun! In the morning he helped me make cupcakes and frosting. Mostly he just wanted to put things in his mouth. Spatula, whisk, stick of butter...

Cienzo also helped out by licking the messes up off the kitchen floor. Who needs a hoover with him around?!

In the afternoon after Noah's first nap, we went out to the big grassy area in our development for a block party with some of the other neighbors. We had a kiddie pool, a slip n slide, a BBQ, and lots of yummy treats! Noah had his first taste of watermelon and he LOVED it! He couldn't eat enough of it!

He got to play in the kiddie pool with Keaton, who was pretty gentle with him and shared the toys. He tried to "water" Noah with a watering can and make him grow. It was very cute. The pool felt nice even for us adults because it was 100* that day! Bleh!

The men played some games out on the grass, and Noah could only sit and watch his daddy. But I think he enjoyed it.

When it came time for fireworks, we lit some sparklers and put them in front of Noah. It was about 7:30pm and he was SOOO tired! He was fascinated by the sparkling lights but he was not exactly excited. Maybe next year he will like them more. All in all it was a great holiday, and I am glad we decided to stay in town. It might be our very last 4th of July in Visalia!
