Where did my baby go??? I blinked my eyes and he disappeared! What I have before me now is a bona fide toddler. I keep saying, and I know my parent friends out there would agree, man they grow up so fast! I miss the small package that is a baby, and the portability. But this age right now is so much more fun than any other age. He is parroting the words we say and it is so cute to hear him start to have his own little voice. I told Eric that I think he learns about 3 new words each day! I actually want to try and remember these things down the road so I am keeping the list here for now. His first few words were of course "mama" and "dada" and also "cookie", "car", "papa", "(ba)nana", "cracker","uh-oh" and of course "no". These words he used a lot but only these words for several weeks. But NOW?!? I don't even know if I could list them all but I am going to try.
Truck, tractor, apple, ball, Mac, Sponge Bob, powder, please, thank you, cheese, down, BBQ, ruff-ruff, Doc, Mater, dog, bee, airplane, (heli)copter, flower, water, milk, blue, purple, duck, Elmo, Nemo, bike, and he knows his babysitter's name Laura. All these words and he is just 19 months old! It is so fun to watch his new developments and understanding. I look forward to the days to come when he adds more and more words to his vocabulary and becomes more of his own little boy self.
