THREES!

The past week was filled with some big milestones in the Sheller household. First off, I turned 30 years old!!! My inner thirteen year old self thought I was REALLY old! Though, I don't really feel much different, and I think I *really* grew up about three months ago. Which leads to the OTHER milestone: Noah turned three months old! For anyone who is a mom you know that 3 months is a big deal! And for Noah, it is no different. He seems to have turned a corner on his colicky/fussy newborn behavior and is becoming much more enjoyable to be around. I can honestly say I wasn't too thrilled with being a mommy at first because, well, it was just sooooo haaaaard. But now, I find myself actually enjoying spending all my days with him.

For my birthday we tagged along with Eric to the coast on business. Noah did GREAT! For my actual birthday, we woke up in Channel Islands (the first time at 5:00am) and Eric & Noah wished me a happy birthday. Then we had to drive from CI all the way up to Monterey. I pumped a big 8oz bottle and hopped in the back seat to feed Noah a couple times and he was happy as a clam. Of course, it didn't hurt that we installed the DVD player in the car, so he had an assortment of Baby Einstein and Pixar movies to watch along the way. He even could watch them in the hotel on my laptop.

Once in Monterey we were able to have a nice dinner together without Noah becoming fussy. We ate at a local pizza place called "Pizza My Heart." So cute! Then Eric got us Coldstone icecream to take back to the hotel room since we had to give Noah his beth and put him to bed.
On Saturday Eric, along with the help of my family, had a beach bonfire party for me. It was so much fun! Eric got yummy cupcakes from The Frosted Muffin here in Visalia, and he made up some delicious burgers and hot dogs. Noah had a cute onesie that said "Dad's BBQ Buddy" and he got to enjoy his first time down on a beach. And lots of my friends and family came, which was so great!
